The meaning of Auraya
Auraya takes its name from aura — the quiet field of light and energy that surrounds a sacred presence. It is the stillness you feel stepping into a temple, or the small pause before an idol on your dashboard at a red light: a moment of calm, warmth, and grace in the middle of an ordinary day.
Auraya makes small sacred objects for the places you actually spend your day — the car you drive, the desk you work at, the corner of your home that holds everything else together.
Every piece is cast in high-grade resin and finished by hand, with an antique gold polish applied individually. Because each is painted by hand, slight variation in tone and detail is natural. It is the difference between something made and something stamped out.
We started with what people were already asking for: idols small enough to sit on a dashboard without blocking the road, and steady enough not to move when it gets rough. From there it grew into the Ashok Stambh for the desk, the tricolour for the shelf, and the deities people keep closest.
Curated with grace, and made to be lived with rather than looked after.
